The Archive page was my creation and was not really a WordPress ‘thing.’ After more than a year and 8,445 posts, it’s now become too large to maintain, so I’ve pulled it.
Instead, I’m using what WordPress has provided for us. If you will look just under where the Search engine is on the right side of my blog, you will see a widget called Archives. It is a different way of listing of all my posts – by the month. If you click on the month in question, you will then see a listing of those posts.
I don’t like to archive possts this way, because it is almost impossible to look back for them. If I want to look for something at the beginning of the month, I have to start at the end and work to the beginning, page by page. It takes forever, but it seems I now have no other choice.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.
Hugs,
~Jean
Jean, can you not split it into 2 pages – a part 1 and a part 2 or something? The archive page was my favorite way of catching up with the news quickly, so I’ll really miss it. But, too, I can adapt to a new way!!
Katie, I don’t like the new way either, but I can’t do anything about it. I can’t do what you’ve suggested. I already tried. It’s too complicated to explain. The old way is a pain. I need to start a duplicate Blog, but I haven’t the time . . . what to do: ) Hugs, ~Jean
