Good morning – from ~Jean, July 7, 2012

Thanks to all of you who have shared possibilities for a new hosting site. I’m looking into them. I think it would be possible to stay with WordPress if it is possible for you all to upload photos, etc., but I beginning to doubt that will be possible. I’ve checked into Ning.com, which may be more than we need, and now ickytwerp has suggested Delphi Forums. Because we are into the weekend, the questions I’ve emailed to them likely won’t come back until the beginning of the week.

Here’s what I think we need:

1. The ability to have several ‘blogs’ going at one time – for example – for adults, children, spiritual discussion, etc.

2. These ‘blogs’ (or Pages, or whatever you call them) need to permit you to upload for yourselves your own photos and videos.

3. I’m not sure if it is necessary to have a forum with these blogs, when our Comments section seems to have filled that need. For all concerned, I think we need to keep it as simple as possible.

- Let me suggest that if you have any interest at all in understanding a lot of the rumors floating around, Cobra has given an interview, which I read – much better than listening – that goes a long way to straightening out a lot of the confusion under which we have been left operating for far too long. I’m not going to post it here, but I do think it is helpful.

No Green Light has been given, but when it is, within 24 hours, we will know it. Like you, I do not want to get sucked up into this old stuff again, although it looks like maybe I already did. Right now, it’s nothing but a yo-yo journey, and it isn’t helpful to me, that’s for sure, or to anyone – as I see it.

Instead, I’m moving forward as fast as I can to develop a platform for our new community. If you have any other ideas about what the new site should be able to provide us, please comment here. Right now, I need all the help and input I can get. Once I find the proper platform, since they all operate in essentially the same way, it shouldn’t take too long to be up and running.

Hugs,
~Jean

    dear Jean.
I so much love all the comments and the wise words of all our family, that it may be a nice idea for us to write about what changed our lives. Many of us have had a moment or an experience in our live, that made us follow a more spiritual road. We could learn from each others’ experiences.
    Maybe as a temporarily solution.
Success with all your thinking, Jean,
    lots of love,
    Christina

    • Dee says:

Dear Christina, you have made a very worthwhile suggestion. Would you care to share your experience that set you on your ‘spiritual road’…to kind of get us started? xoxo Dee

  2. Christina says:

    Dear Jean,
I love the comments on your site, especially these days. What a positive thoughts, pictures and films! I suggest you just say good morning and ask who has something nice to share, you give us some hugs and at least a hundred most exciting comments will follow. This way we are more creating than ever, we are all taking part and it is you that can relax a bit.

Did you know that all the personal information that is stored somewhere comes from face book.
    I’ve always avoided face books.
    lots of love,
    Christina

I’ve been enjoying your site, Jean, now for a few months. I think it would be great to include a number of different “subjects”, since I’m more drawn to all the wonderful links you’ve BEEN providing that relate to our world in all its varying substrata. If it would change exclusively to recipes, pictures, etc, I would lose interest immediately. I find my way of ‘connecting’ to myself and Mother Earth in a different manner. You offer great material, and I wish to Thank You for
all the diligent work you offer for all of us!
    Blessings, Jean Hart

This “Lefora.com” appears to be quite promising …. try everything out, Jean – Meher *s advice s
resonates very well with me too … Try and do not rush …enjoy while you are on your route to something new of your life … you recall it surely : accordingly : the road to: is what we have to consider as our target not the target itself ….. enjoy the present situation and the momentum of your road … and go leisurely – take up all enoyments presenting themselves to you on either side
of your walk … you will gain so much more of the quantum of delights than you had so far … enjoy while you walk on and work with all the new stuff coming your way…. Good Luck for this new Journey -and remember; all that you find your enjoyment in – is good for you …do not let yourself drawn into any hurry or obliging feelings of demands on you like :this must be done . ..there is no other duty for yourself than to make yourself happy ,,,and happy you should stay with all your doings ….!
    Hugs
    Mary

p.s. on lefora – the way i have used to upload pics in there was always by posting a link to them from photobucket (also free version of that )
i don’t know if lefora has ability to upload pics direct from my desktop or files, but the photobucket links work perfect.

  10. MeherBaba22 says:

    hi Jean
you may wish to check out Lefora.com
it provides a wonderfully functional full forum Multiple blogs/subjects & ability to post links & pics even in the comments for people
i am pretty sure its free, though perhaps there may be small charges for added features, unsure on that.
anyway – i have seen firsthand how good that system is, very nice, as a member of Phoenix’s old private forum (not the one he utilizes for public now in conjunction with his radio show)
lefora doesn’t seem to be very commonly known abou, at least his is the only one i’ve ever personally encountered myself, but as a regular user & participant within it i can vouch for how easy it is as well as providing an excellent format for multiple subject interactive “blogging/posting/sharing/what-have-you

    worth a look anyway

  11. Contramary says:

Jean before you follow the first outlined process here with platforms for every kind “Adult, Kids etc.) by which you are intermingling and open up a sort of competing blog to Facebook as this covers already a majority of the same issues. Go and have a look yourself into what Facebook does first before following trails in competition as the majority of internet-users are using already Facebook with all its gorgeous means.
    For this reason:
Click on my Page on Facebook as you know me truly a bit more – I have been on it for one week now. See what my friends from my discussion group of Steve have been of some tremendous huge help to me … and through them I have met heaps of people with so many ideas and issues quite new to me.
The Link to my FB-Page is : http://facebook.com/ContraMary

Give it a thorough study with regard to your plannings …and when cleared everything go ahead
accordingly with your own plans …. I do not want you to rush anything without knowing about FB.
I myself have been so hesitating of joining it for a long time – but it is really a challenge and proves
to reveal some very good matters for us. Don’t miss this experience.

    Love and Hugs to all
    Mary

    • Jean says:

Thanks, Mary, I have been to your Page – and by the way I do like your paintings – and it’s nice to know you ‘face-to-face’ :) . I’m so loathe to consider it. It seems a scourge, but maybe you are right. I will take a look. Hugs, ~Jean

      • chris says:

My last job required me to be on facebook. They told me this after I was hired and began working there. Even in this economy, I immediately quit. That’s how against facebook I am.

      • Ed says:

I am with Chris. Facebook is not for me. Not now… not ever. Something is not quite above board with that “entity”. Anyone else fell that way?

      • Rieta says:

I don’t think I want to be part of face book at all, I know who runs it and I’m not impressed with what they stand for, it’s definitely not what you seem to stand for Jean. They have too many prying eyes on us now. But it’s entirely up to you, this is your project.

        Love and light,
        Rieta

      • Nicki Tompkins says:

FB is a HUGE distraction. I like being here because I can read comments and it won’t be posted to everyone. I was labeled a fool because I responded to an article about voting for Obama, so I explained the corporation. I like our family here and vote to stay here or at a new blog, whatever is decided. I just wanted to add my 2 cents. Love y’all

      • Dee says:

I have never been interested in Facebook. Its technology is way too intrusive. I haven’t signed onto it over the last eight years and I do not intend to sign onto it now. Sorry, but its how I feel. xoxo Dee

      • Jean says:

I signed up on it, and only went back to it to tell folks I wasn’t going to do it – would love to get off it, but don’t know how. Hugs, ~Jean

    • Dee says:

Dear Mary, I do not have Facebook and have never been interested in signing on…BUT my daughter does and she signed on…and we saw your facebook page and it was lovely. You have funny things and heart-warming photos and nice comments. So, even though I’ve never felt inclined to set up a page…I appreciate those that do wish to do that. Two out of my three children have a page.

I would like to say that Jean is our Leader and which ever way she chooses to take this blog I will follow. We’ve built up such a wonderful, caring community of lightworkers here, I would, of course, wish to follow where ever it takes us. Thank you for all who contribute here and thank you to Jean for her vision and her creation of this ‘space’ for us to commune. Love and Blessings to All ! xoxo Dee
