UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says the West’s embargoes against Iran have mainly targeted the livelihood of the ordinary Iranian population.
“The sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran have had significant effects on the general population, including an escalation in inflation, a rise in commodities and energy costs, an increase in the rate of unemployment and a shortage of necessary items, including medicine,” Ban said in a report to the UN General Assembly on Friday.
The embargoes have also hampered humanitarian operations, as the imposed restrictions on Iran’s banking system have halted the exports of medicines needed for treating diseases like cancer and heart and respiratory conditions, the report added.
The embargoes on Iran’s banking sector have been unilaterally imposed by Washington and they come on top of the previous four rounds of US-sponsored sanctions levied by the UN Security Council against Tehran.
The US and the European Union have also adopted unilateral measures against Iran’s energy sector.
Ban’s diatribe against the anti-Iran embargoes comes despite the new efforts by US Congress to tighten the sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
Following the US-engineered sanctions on Iran’s banking, the imports of more than fifty kinds of badly needed medicine for people who suffer from certain diseases such as children’s cancer, thalassemia, multiple sclerosis (MS), and respiratory and heart diseases, have declined drastically.
Those who suffer from such diseases hardly find their medicine or if they do, they should pay a high price.
I think the UN was set up to bring about the nwo.

So, getting back to the UN itself. Is the UN a force for good in this world? Or not? Many believe not. If that is so, then perhaps we really ought to be aware of that, and use that as a filter through which to process all UN statements and agendas.
Perhaps I should make clear that I did not mean to infer that Iran actually had Mr Keshe physically but rather his technology. Sorry for any misunderstanding this may have caused.
I’m not getting this. I don’t see how Iran can have any energy problems with Mr Keshe on the scene. And I thought Iran was out of the World Bank malarkey as it has its own banking system and is not in debt to them. Is this story a set up to make it look like Iran is about to snap and nuke Israel?

I’m wiling to give Keshe the benefit for now Debbie! I’m with you regarding the UN ~ its created more problems than it has ever solved. Imo this story smells of propaganda for some negative agenda and I’m just not buying it. As for Netty, he’d sell his own Granny to further his own ends.
Mr. Keshe is Iranian by birth, and was educated in UK and he now lives in EU. According to Mr. Keshe, he has NO relationship with the Iranian government. He gave his technology to Iranian scientists, because they asked for it…and he offers the same technology to any nations scientist…the same! So, as he said, what they do with it is up to them (the nations who take his technology). So lumping Keshe into this argument about Iran not needing nuclear power because they have Keshe would appear to be very misleading, according to what we’ve been told by Mr. Keshe himself.
