US President Barack Obama has enacted a legislation aimed at countering Iran’s growing relations with the Latin American countries.
The “Countering Iran in Western Hemisphere Act” which was signed into law on Friday, requires the State Department to develop a strategy within 180 days to “address Iran’s growing hostile presence and activity” in Latin America.
The law also incorporates a multiagency action plan in the Latin American countries in an attempt to isolate the Islamic Republic and its allies.
The US House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs subcommittee on terrorism had endorsed the legislation earlier in March.
Iran has increased the number of its embassies in Latin America from five in 2005 to 11 in 2012.
The Islamic Republic has been seeking to expand relations with Latin American countries over the past few years, describing the endeavor as one of its major foreign policy strategies.
Major Latin American nations have also enhanced their diplomatic and trade ties with Iran in recent years while their relations with the United States have been downgraded amid popular demands for an end to dependence on Washington.
Iran’s rising popularity in Latin America has raised major concerns in Washington, which regards the region as its strategic backyard and traditional sphere of influence.
On January 6, the US warned Latin American states against expanding diplomatic and business ties with Iran, expressing concern over “Iran’s outreach to the Western Hemisphere.
You couldn’t make this stuff up and have anybody believe you. Well, there was once a time when nobody would believe this stuff could happen in real life…
It gets better. The law says we’ll come up with a strategy in 180 days. So we enact a law that say we will come up with an idea at some future time!

Now, let me get this straight.. The USA creates a bit of legislation for itself, which effectively tells its neighbours who it can and can’t cosy up to at a Diplomatic level. The last I heard, was that every country on the planet was a sovereign nation unto itself, able to make it’s own decisions without interference. Seems to me, the USA can’t quite tell the difference between imperialism and diplomacy.
Our presidents psycopathic actions are becoming way to obvious. Since when has the president of the United States had the authority to tell other sovereign countries that they can not have relations? The United States is a big, fantastic country but it does not have imperialistic powers to dictate to other countries!
We need to realize that America is a sovereign country, our Constitutional laws are Supreme over laws of other countries and over the laws of the united nations, but our Constitutional laws do not extend past the borders of our country. In the same respect, we need to be vigelent in not giving authority to other country’s, or to phoney conglomerate multinational organizations, as to the lkes of the eurozone/ european union.
Who are the people that head up the european union and how did they get those phoney positions of authority? Well you might ask, and after seeing the disasterous results of the EU, it seems too obvious that we never allow anything like the north american union (for example), to be anything other than impotent and let it die on the vine. Viva to the power and authority of the people of this great country, let us discharge the people that we hired and pay in the guise of being called a politician, if they try to dismantle the supreme law of the land, our Constitution!
Now this REALLY made me laugh. I’m not sure what side our President is on sometimes, but I have on my mind what could happen to him, or his wife and children for not being a “proper” spokesperson. The Cabal is getting a little too frisky, lol.
