What happens if sequestering, or budget cuts, occur? Conservatives may have you believing such a thing will mean the end of days! But that’s not the case. David Sirota explains that the sequester may mean some amount of curtailing of defense spending. How could Republicans, who argue government spending can’t create jobs, say that defense spending cuts would kill jobs? On what grounds can they have it both ways, and what will actually happen if defense spending were cut?

Democrats have long argued that if it wasn’t an increase in spending, it was a “cut” so it’s just a game of “whatever the other side does, we’ll be against it”. Now that we all know it’s a game, to use your logic, how can Democrats, who argue that spending cuts cannot kill jobs argue that government spending can create jobs? Democrats can’t have it both ways.They do use government created jobs as part of the numbers. See how it’s all just so much BS? I think articles like this point out why it is so important to find our own truth. Whether it is Republicans who are adamant about defense or Democrats who are all too eager to use drones as impersonal killing machines or Repubs/Dems who continue takeovers of countries like Iraq, Libya, Mali….all of it is unlike all of us as individuals.
as a Catholic who is more than troubled by the Vatican but sees and knows the good of the two small parishes we belong to that are generous, loving and prayerful.
All of us as Americans where as individuals we give to the Missions, to survivors of natural tragedies but our country rains bombs on others with a impunity of hate that does not match any of us as individuals.
What I am trying to say is “too big creates too big to fail. Americans as individuals are almost all good but our leaders fail us. Christians, Catholics, Muslims as individuals are almost all good but their leaders fail them.
Is there a common denominator to the evil of our leaders? Power driven, Satanic, Bankers..What is it?

I see draw downs all over the place such as this article on sequestration and our bloated military budget….
This unsavory subject needs to be addressed since our American national religion is dispensational Christian theology.
It enables our wars of aggression and gives that political cover to the war mongering in our society….
A most disturbing number of reports about the infiltration of evangelical Christian pastors and agents of Christian Zionism into our major military schools such as West Point and there obsession with things of the end time nature and actively bringing that about through temporal interference which I mean for them to make it happen themselves…..scary stuff to be sure….
A means of addressing this cultural or theological conflict needs to be thought about by reasonable people to counter the war mongering of our so called Christian churches.
I have friends caught up in the prepper movement waiting for that time when absolutely all hell breaks loose with no way to talk to them other than to reject their religion which has rejected them because it does not cause community but isolation with guns and stored food and such….
One has to wake up and look at what is going on and see that dispensational Christian theology is simply not the answer….and one fact that just absolutely blew my mind was the fact that our government gives several billion dollars a year to the Zionists in Palistine yet our Zionist churches give tripple or quadripple that to them through the evangelical churches to fund the wall and the aparthide and all the other crimes going on there…..
So we have jews like Duff and atzmon and others talking about this issue but few Christians……
