PressTV: Russia will pay a big price for Ukraine crisis, Hillary Clinton warns

This lady turns my stomach. . . no, sorry, I cannot call her a lady :) She is evil personified. The stage is being set . . . and I tend to think that Putin will do something within the financial system to put an end to this most recent insanity. . . I don’t know, of course. . . but what I do believe is that whatever he does choose to do, he won’t allow WWIII. ~J

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has called on President Barack Obama to ratchet up sanctions against Russia over Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

Speaking at a University of Connecticut contemporary issues forum on Wednesday, Clinton said that the sanctions against Moscow must be “tightened and widened” to prevent the Ukraine crisis from escalating.

“I think Russia will pay a big price for this,” Clinton said. “But that is an endpoint that we’ve got to get to as peacefully as possible without seeing the total disintegration of Ukraine as a country with territorial integrity and opportunity to have the relationship it wants with the West.”

The US and Russia are at loggerheads over the worsening crisis in Ukraine.

The Autonomous Republic of Crimea declared independence from Ukraine on March 17 and formally applied to become part of Russia following a referendum a day earlier, in which nearly 97 percent of the participants voted in favor of the move.

On March 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law the documents officially making Crimea part of the Russian territory. He said the move was carried out based on international law.

On April 17, Russia, Ukraine, the US and the European Union agreed over steps to “de-escalate” the crisis in eastern Ukraine, where anti-Kiev protesters seized buildings in several towns and cities.

But, Ukrainian authorities have ordered a military offensive against the protesters, claiming that Russian special forces are fueling unrest in the country.

Putin has dismissed as “nonsense” claims that Russian special forces are fomenting unrest in eastern Ukraine.

“It’s all nonsense, there are no Russian units, special forces or instructors in the east of Ukraine,” he said.

Hillary Clinton, who is thinking about running for president in 2016, claimed that Putin would like to see a return of a Russian era that no longer exists and urged the US and its European allies be “very clear, strong and to some extent patient” to ensure that the Russian leader does not succeed in his mission.

“I think the outcome for him and Russia will not be good, which is deeply unfortunate,” she said. “Russia should be a much more dynamic and much more successful country and could be if Putin weren’t trying to turn the clock back to the Soviet Union days.”

  4. …her reaction when Libya’s leader Ghadaffi died is really scary. So I totally get what you mean when you said she turns your stomach, when she issues that kind of warning to Russia… :- /

The united states will drag the European union into the abyss before their demise.. the united states is using the EU as a shield to prolong its failure, it also could be a distraction to cover up its fall from within, meaning the united states also is in the brink of a possible civil revolution. Their imminent collapse is near.

I’m confused. Hillary – is that her name? I always thought it was Monica. Oh well, obviously they even got Bill confused. Why pay attention to these low-lifes. They’re all the same caliber.

Somehow i believe Putin and Obama are working behind the scenes to trap the cabal. I think they are good chest players in this end game and what we read and is said is not the hole truth. Obama is playing double agent and it makes sense to me what Potter said on the interview about Obama betraying the Rockerfellers and Rothchilds. :)

  8. If The big lady sings and has a pole shift the timing could not be better.

    • Jean says:

Huggie, I don’t think we’re getting the pole shift now. What I think we’re heading for is the collapse of the old financial system :) Hugs, ~Jean

      • And that will happen very soon.

        • Jean says:

Yes, I think so . . . and while initially this may look very bad, I think it will soon become very positive . . .Hugs, ~Jean

          • Susanne R says:

I think so too, Jean, that the crash of the USD is just what the world needs: get these cabal banksters completely out of the controlling picture. Even if it’s rough at first, and it will certainly be spun that way by Washington as the end all beat all of catastrophies, it won’t be, not for the 99% anyway, and certainly not for the rest of the world who will gladly glom onto the BRICS, many already are.

          • Jean says:

It own’t be easy, though, because you can easily understand how it is going to affect the sheeple . . . :) Hugs, ~Jean

I was just wondering: surely the gas contract between Russia and EU must include a Force Majeure clause (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_majeure) This clause “..is a common clause in contracts that essentially frees both parties from liability or obligation when an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of the parties, such as a war, strike, riot, crime, or an event described by the legal term act of God (such as hurricane, flooding, earthquake, volcanic eruption, etc.), prevents one or both parties from fulfilling their obligations under the contract. In practice, most force majeure clauses do not excuse a party’s non-performance entirely, but only suspends it for the duration of the force majeure”. It seems that a real shooting war is imminent in Ukraine and indeed the US is actively promoting its likelihood. Is it by any chance designed to trigger force majeure so that all EU states which depend on gas transiting through Ukraine are suddenly plunged into an unwanted crisis? This may be designed to kill the Euro!

    • Jean says:

Interesting, and I don’t know. . . I do think that the collapse of the Euro will come first. Without the fiat dollar will also rapdidly collapse. Hugs, ~Jean
