Of course this is never spoken of in Western news! Perhaps someone might think well of Russia. ~J
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The 16th Russian humanitarian convoy is expected to depart from Russia’s Rostov region on Friday morning and head toward eastern Ukrainian Donetsk and Luhansk, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
Earlier on Thursday, a deputy head of the ministry’s national center on crisis situations Oleg Voronov told RIA Novosti that over 170 trucks with 1.8 tons of humanitarian aid are ready to depart from the Rostov region.
The aid includes food, medicine, books, and study materials for students residing in Donbas.
Ukraine’s Donbas has been suffering from a severe humanitarian crisis since Kiev launched a military operation against local independence supporters in April 2014.
Since August 2014, Russia has sent over 20,000 tons of food, water, clothes, medicines, power generators and building materials to Donetsk and Luhansk self-proclaimed republics.
