Open letter to EU boss, Jean-Claude Juncker: yes, break up the US, by Jon Rappoport . . . this article, the first I read today, set the stage for what I want to say. My first question when I read this article was: Have they finally pushed the earth’s people too far? . . . and then: What can we do about it? As I worked my way through today’s news, I began to see a possible if not likely answer — a way to put an end to the craziness without going to war. Please join me on my exciting journey of discovery! ~J 🙂

Syria missile strikes: based on what evidence?

“There is a line that governments cross. When they reach a certain size, and when they are exerting enough control, they turn around and tell their citizens, ‘We love you and we care about you and we help you. In return, all we ask is that you do whatever we tell you to do, no matter what the consequences are. That’s fair, isn’t it?’” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

Here is a piece I wrote in March of 2017. It was prompted by an outburst from European Union (EU) boss, Jean-Claude Juncker. “The Junk Man” is quite a piece of work. To put it nicely and politely, he’s an unelected gas bag:

The Express (March 30, 2017): “European Union boss Jean-Claude Juncker this afternoon issued a jaw-dropping threat to the United States, saying he could campaign to break up the country in revenge for Donald Trump’s supportive comments about Brexit.”

“In an extraordinary speech the EU Commission president said he would push for Ohio and Texas to split from the rest of America if the Republican president does not change his tune and become more supportive of the EU.”

Dear Jean-Claude,

You unfathomable twit, we love you! Come to America soon and help a few of our states secede from the US.

Our country is far too big. The federal government is a titanic engorged bureaucracy. The idea of a limited Republic is dead. The people are too distant from their ruling government—exactly the situation in which the people of Europe find themselves, with their unelected swollen overseers—of which you are the present leader.

You and your cronies and minions make the laws, and there is no recourse.

You’re a useless barnacle on the European continent. So come here and help Texas and Ohio secede. It’ll be a party. You might learn something.

I would suggest you begin with California. The state government presently has $440 billion in debt and unfunded liabilities stretching into the future. Perhaps you could help California cancel the unsolvable problem. “We’re free! We don’t owe anybody anything! It was all an illusion.”

Perhaps you could convince the new nation of California to take in 30 or 40 million more immigrants. “New citizens are good for the economy.” You know, use the same tactics you’re using in Europe. Prosecute anyone who speaks out against immigration. People need repressive fascism. It’s good for them.

I suggest New York City and Chicago should become countries. Why not? They’re big enough. Let them rise and fall on their own. That would be a sight to see. Chicago is the major trafficking hub for Sinaloa Cartel drugs. Chicago could come right out in the open and announce itself as Heroin Cocaine Central. “These are our products! This is what we sell! This is how we thrive!” New York is the world center for News. “Buy our fake stories! They’re limitless!”

Here’s another strategy you could promote. Link all 300 US sanctuary cities and colleges together as one nation. “We want to be the home for EVERYBODY from EVERYWHERE.” I think some kind of theocracy would work for this emerging nation. A Pope who favors infinite kindness. Citizens would be income-taxed at a rate of 80% to fund the grand altruistic program. Hollywood celebs would be appointed cardinals and bishops.

But here is a dire prediction. Somewhere along the line, as you carry out your plan for secessions, a US state that becomes a nation is going to pop up with a truly dangerous idea: SELF-SUFFICIENCY.

O the horror. That state is going to turn down all outside funding. It’s going to institute a robust free market, in which anyone can sell any non-harmful product or service, absent red tape. For example—a hundred different forms of natural-health treatments. On the other hand, a company that pollutes the landscape with poisonous chemicals and doesn’t immediately fix the problem will see its executives sent to prison for long terms. The people of this state will do their best to produce what they need from inside their own borders. Speaking of which, the state will do its best to keep out people who refuse to subscribe to hard work, earning their own way, and free speech. No political correctness. No triggering. No safe spaces. No need for them.

This could be your Waterloo, Jean-Claude. Suddenly, that state (a new nation) would be setting a shining example for other emerging nations to follow.

People would wake up to the life they’ve always wanted.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to watch you try to put that genie back in the bottle? You, the great defender of top-down arbitrary rule by Globalists. You, the entitled buffoon, who wants One Europe. You, the arrogant parasite on your throne.

Come to the US, Jean-Claude. We need many new Republics springing up across the land. Help us.

Liberate the buried spirit of America.

Perhaps you’ll feel your blood moving through your calcified veins again.

Well, perhaps not. You’re dedicated to the Big Bloat. In your gluttonous mind, the citizenry is suffering from a deficiency of bureaucracy, and you’re the prescribing doctor.

The EU employs 46,000 people. My God, that’s not nearly enough, even though each member nation already has its own federal government. Here’s an idea. Automatically make every migrant who comes to Europe an EU employee. What would they do? Promote and facilitate more immigration! Perfect!

Anyway, we’re waiting for you to come to America and help states secede from the Union. I’m ready to provide you with talking points. But first, I suggest you read an old dusty document called the US Constitution. You’ll find a trove of ideas there for newly minted nations like California and Texas.

If you really want to push a subversive destructive agenda in the US, and raise the ire of our federal government, wave the Constitution around and start citing sections of its corrosive doctrines. You’ll cause a great deal of trouble, I guarantee it.

You’ll probably land in jail. But we’ll back you. We’ll make you a hero.

FREE JUNCKER! FREE JUNCKER!

You’ll love it.

And when they shut down your budding Twitter account and You Tube Channel, we’ll take to the streets!

Come on, Junk Man, America is waiting.

Palestine joins 2 UN bodies, chemical weapons treaty

The Palestinian Authority (PA), which represents the Palestinians internationally, has joined two major United Nations agencies and a global treaty to ban the spread of chemical weapons, amid threats from the United States to cut funds to those organizations in case Palestinians obtain accession.

In a Wednesday address to the United Nations Security Council, Nickolay Mladenov, who serves as the coordinator for the Middle East, said Palestinians’ membership in the three organizations had been finalized over a week ago.

“On May 15, Palestine acceded to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the Convention on the Prohibition, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons,” said Mladenov.

Palestine can seek membership of UN agencies and become a party to international treaties as it has the status of a non-member observer state at the UN.

However, the United States, as the closest ally to the Israeli regime, has opposed increasing the diplomatic profile of the Palestinians through such memberships. Washington has vowed it would cut funds to certain UN agencies and other organizations if they accept Palestinians. . . . Click article title to continue reading.

Fate of Gaza Dim: Enclaves Surrounded by Hostile Powers Never Fare Well

The fate of the Gaza Strip enclave, along with its besieged 1.9 million residents, is dismal. The history of enclaves surrounded by hostile nations like Israel has not been a kind one. The apartheid-like Palestinian enclaves in the West Bank, carved out by Israeli expansionists, also face a bleak future. The U.S. ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, a former bankruptcy attorney for Donald Trump, refers to the West Bank as the Jewish homelands of “Judea and Samaria.” And, if Friedman and his expansionist Israeli friends have their way, the 1.9 million Gazan Palestinians will be re-located into the Sinai Desert and the 2.7 million West Bank Palestinians will be forced into Jordan in a mass relocation that is ripped right out of the pages of Adolf Hitler’s playbook.

In 2013, a charity headed by Friedman – the American Friends of Bet El Yeshiva Center – donated to the Qomemiyut Movement, a U.S. State Department-designated terrorist group that fought against the decision by the government of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to evacuate Jewish settlements in Gaza in 2005.

Trump cancels June meeting with Kim - White House

President Donald Trump has cancelled a much-anticipated summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, “based on the tremendous anger and open hostility” from Kim, who threatened the US with a “nuclear to nuclear showdown.”

“I was very much looking forward to being there with you. Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting,” read the letter, sent a few hours after North Korea blew up its nuke testing site at Punggye-ri. The demolition was witnessed by a small pool of foreign journalists, and was considered a goodwill gesture from Kim ahead of the planned summit.

For US Congress, Running a Torture Prison Is a Good Career Move, by Phillip M. Giraldi

For US Congress, Running a Torture Prison Is a Good Career Move

Gina Haspel has now been confirmed as the new Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) by a Senate vote of 54 to 45. She had previously been approved by the Senate Intelligence Committee by 10 votes to 5, with six Democrats joining all but three of the committee’s Republicans. Haspel seems fully qualified in terms of her experience to do the job, though it is admittedly difficult to make that judgement because her full professional biography has not been revealed by CIA. Claims by supporters seeking to enhance her record that she was “under cover” for 32 years are meaningless as many officers who serve at Agency Headquarters in Langley have that status.

Accurate information on Haspel is hard to come by. Access to a top secret memo reportedly prepared by Committee Democrats concerning her possibly illegal activities has been restricted even among Senators. Nevertheless, as the first woman to become head of the Agency one might reasonably say that Haspel has certainly broken through several glass ceilings to obtain her new position.

During the Senate Intelligence Committee hearings Haspel vowed that, if approved, she would never again permit torture to be employed by the Agency. It was, of course, a necessary though empty gesture in that it appears quite clear that she did not demur at torture being used in the past. Intelligence whistleblower Edward Snowden expressed his opinion with a tweet when news of the confirmation became public, writing that “Gina Haspel participated in a torture program that involved beating an innocent pregnant woman’s stomach, anally raping a man with meals he tried to refuse, and freezing a shackled prisoner until he died. She personally wrote the order to destroy 92 tapes of CIA torture.”

Haspel did indeed do all that and possibly more, but my objection to her is somewhat different. To be sure, torture should never have been employed by any federal government agency, but the confirmation of Haspel sends the clear message that there is no accountability for anyone who is at or near the top of the bureaucracy. Haspel’s willing participation in running a black site prison where torture was carried out was illegal then just as it is illegal now, no matter what some slimy government lawyer whose job depended on pleasing his boss the president might have said. Gina Haspel could have turned the assignment down if she was bothered by what was going, but ambition drove her to accept the position and all it entails, making her current disavowing of torture a bit hard to accept.

The approval of Haspel by the Senate suggests that there is no crime that a government official cannot get away with if it is justified under the aegis of the “war on terror.” On that basis alone, Haspel should have been rejected, but instead she has been rewarded by a government that generally prefers to look the other way. Gina’s success at avoiding any consequences for her action is reminiscent of the slap on the wrist received by former CIA Director David Petraeus, who revealed highly classified information to his lover/biographer Paula Broadwell.

All of which is not to suggest that government officials never get punished. Lower level officials are fair game when the criminal justice system is seeking to demonstrate that no one is above the law. Former CIA officer John Kiriakou was sentenced to prison after he revealed that torture in secret Agency prisons was taking place. Another CIA officer Jeffrey Sterling was imprisoned for allegedly revealing classified information to journalist James Risen. The government could not even prove that he had done so, but he was convicted anyway because “it had to be him.”

If it now a matter of public record that running a torture prison is a good career move, supported by both parties in Congress. And it is also interesting to note how fiercely the CIA fought to keep from having to reveal details of Haspel’s career or even the records of the torture prison. It is unlikely that reports relating to events that took place sixteen years ago could continue to be classified because they would reveal “intelligence sources and methods.” Rather, they remain top secret because they are potentially embarrassing to the participants, to those who directed and approved the activity and to the organizations involved. In that light, the Haspel confirmation’s acceptance of zero accountability is a perfect example of precisely what is wrong with the United States government.

Russia Ready to Use Euros in Trade If EU Opposes Expansion of Sanctions

ST PETERSBURG (Sputnik) – Russia is ready to use euros rather than US dollars in foreign trade if the European Union declares its stance against expansion of the US anti-Russian sanctions, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Thursday.

“As we see, restrictions imposed by the US partners are of an extraterritorial nature… If our European partners declare their unequivocal position [against the expansion of sanctions], we certainly see a way out in using the European currency, the European infrastructure organizations for financial settlements, for payments for goods, services, which often fall under various kinds of restrictions,” Siluanov noted speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

The minister went on saying that Russia would use European currency and the EU financial institutions in order to pay for goods and services which currently fall under defferent kinds of restrictions if Europe “declared its unequivocal position” on the necessity of lifting anti-Russian sanctions.

‘Europe must buy our oil’: Iranian leader lays out demands for Europe to keep nuclear deal

Iran’s Supreme Leader said Europe must make up for any and all adverse effects the US pullout from the nuclear deal might have on its economy and not seek to include its ballistic missile program and regional policy in the deal.

The list of conditions under which Iran would stay in the nuclear deal was laid out by the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei on Wednesday. In a speech before government officials, Khamenei listed a set of demands that France, Britain and Germany must comply with if they don’t want to see Iran restart its nuclear program that was phased out under the 2015 deal.

While European countries that are party to the landmark agreement have criticized the US exit and vowed to stick to the deal, Khamenei argued that words were not enough and that Europe needs to formally denounce the US’ decision at the UN.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei waving to the crowd as he delivers a speech during Labor Day at the workers' meeting on April 30, 2018

Trump will ‘vanish from history’ & US will be ‘defeated,’ says Iranian leader

“During the last two years, the US violated the JCPOA several times, and Europe remained silent. Europe must compensate for that silence,” Khamenei said, calling for Europe to “explicitly stand up to the US sanctions.”

While saying Iran doesn’t seek a “fight” with Europe, Khamenei noted, “these three countries have proved that, on the most sensitive issues, they follow the US.”

One of the core demands put forward by the Iranian leader for Europe is that it must ensure that Iran’s ballistic missile program and its actions in the region will not be a part of any future negotiations. Iran’s ballistic missile development has been at the forefront of Washington’s concerns, with the US accusing Iran of violating the spirit of the agreement, while Iran insisted the program is purely defensive.

In order to offset the economic losses that will be incurred on Iran by the renewal of the US sanctions, Europe must guarantee its oil revenues, Khamenei said.

“Europe must guarantee that Iran’s oil will be completely sold. If the US can damage the sale of our oil, we must be able to sell as much oil as we want. Europeans must guarantee that they compensate for the loss, and that they buy Iran’s oil,” he said.

‘Strongest sanctions in history’: Pompeo issues 12 demands to Iran, vows ‘unprecedented pressure’

Iran wants to receive clear safeguards from Europe that it will continue doing business with Tehran, Khamenei said, adding that verbal assurances will not suffice and the guarantees must be provided by European banks.

“We have no conflicts with regard to these three countries; but we do not trust them, based on previous experience,” he said.

In case Europe rejects the demands, Iran reserves the right to resume its nuclear program, he said, adding that once the nuclear deal becomes “useless” for Iran, “one way forward is to restart those halted activities.”

Speaking about the lessons Iran has learned from the US exit, Khamenei said that the flexibility Iran had shown when agreeing to curb its nuclear program in return for sanctions relief only made the US more aggressive. He argued that the Iranian government should no longer deal with the US since it’s repeatedly flouted its pledges. . . . Click article title to continue reading.

US military lacks innovation, spending is out of control, and soon it may struggle to source the necessary materials . . . oops! Did they ever stop to think this out?

Key suppliers for weapons such as the AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missile are fleeing the defense-industrial base, which could have an impact on the ability of America to wage war in the future.

The Pentagon plans to invest more than $20 billion in munitions in its next budget. But whether the industrial base will be there to support such massive buys in the future is up in the air – at a time when America is expending munitions at increasingly intense rates.

The annual Industrial Capabilities report, put out by the Pentagon’s Office of Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy, has concluded that the industrial base of the munitions sector is particularly strained, something the report blames on the start-and-stop nature of munitions procurement over the last 20 years, as well as the lack of new designs being internally developed.

Some suppliers have dropped out entirely, leaving no option for replacing vital materials. Other key suppliers are foreign-owned, with no indigenous capability to produce vital parts and materials ― setting up the risk that a conflict with China could rely on Chinese-made parts.

And the military’s desire to tinker with existing designs rather than create band-new weapons has left the industrial base with a lack of design experience, which means “design skills for critical components within the missile sector industrial base are at risk,” the authors write.

All this is happening as the U.S. is expending munitions at a rapid rate. For instance, the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction concluded that 1,186 munitions were dropped in that country during the first quarter of 2018 ― the highest number recorded for the first three months of the year since tracking began in 2013; that number is also more than two and a half times the amount dropped in the first quarter of 2017.

Mackenzie Eaglen, a defense expert with the American Enterprise Institute, said figures in the report line up with worries from senior military leaders over the last two years.

“This report puts a bunch of solid facts and figures, and real companies and impact, behind the anecdotal concerns of leadership,” Eaglen said, who added that the overall facts show “munitions production is then at risk.” . . . Clickarticle  title to continue reading.

George Soros to Provide Pro-EU Group With Millions of Pounds to Prevent Brexit

Billionaire globalist George Soros has often been accused of meddling in democratic processes and the internal affairs of a number of states via his non-government organizations (NGOs), to serve his pro-migration agenda.

The pro-EU, anti-Brexit Best for Britain group reportedly plans to launch a campaign – largely funded by Soros – to prevent the UK’s withdrawal from the bloc, according to a leaked dossier seen by the Daily Mail newspaper today.

READ MORE: Soros’ Brexit Meddling and Russia Doublethink

The newspaper reported that the group is set to launch a six-month campaign costing £5.6 million (around US$7.5 million at the current GBP/USD exchange rate) to undermine and hinder the Brexit process.

Soros will provide a large chunk of the required campaign funding, the dossier revealed.

Additionally, the 26-page leaked dossier outlining their campaign strategy said MPs would be targeted to persuade them to vote against any exit deal proposed by Prime Minister Theresa May.

“We have never hidden our agenda. Our aim as an organization is to stop Brexit democratically,” a Best for Britain spokesperson told the Daily Mail on Thursday.

The campaign will claim that Brexit could put UK “national security at risk” and is to blame for cuts to local council funding.

MP and former government minister Owen Paterson slammed Soros’ attempt to keep Britain locked in the EU.

“The cynical plan to manipulate the British voter and stop Brexit has now been laid bare. Voters up and down the country will be disgusted that George Soros thinks he can spend his fortune to determine the direction of our great country. Most Remain voters too just want us to get on with it,” MP Owen Paterson told the Daily Mail on May 24.

“My colleagues in parliament, whether they were for Leave or Remain, must denounce this brazen attempt to undermine our democracy,” the MP added.

George Soros has donated heaps of funds to Best for Brexit, in addition to another similar groups, via his Open Society Foundation NGO, drawing criticism for his attempt to interfere in democratic processes to suit his personal agenda and business interests.

Soros has also been accused of interfering in last month’s Hungarian parliamentary elections, with Budapest claiming he had hired over 2,000 personnel to “meddle” in the election. The Hungarian government is set to present a bill to parliament in June to prevent Soros’ pro-migrant NGOs, among others, from operating in the country.

Russia’s Fiscal Policy Sets High Standards, Shows Investment Prospects – IMF

ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) – Russian fiscal policy, as well as several other macroeconomic standards, sets standards of excellence and indicates that Russia is a “safe haven” for investments, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde said on Thursday.

“Russia in many ways is setting the standard of excellence when it comes to macroeconomic standards. The way that you look at fiscal policy, inflation situation, the debt situation, all those levels are very much setting the standards of excellence,” Lagarde said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

The IMF chief said that the Russian economy was growing by about 1.5 percent a year adding that these growth rates were lower than the ones in past.

Rogue state: Can Israel be expelled from UN? by Eric Zuesse

Netanyahu Israel United Nations UN flag

The conditions of membership in the U.N. are specified in the U.N. Charter. Specifically, “Articles 5 and 6 of the Charter of the United Nations deal respectively with suspension of rights and privileges of membership, and with expulsion from the United Nations.” But the operative part is Article 6, which reads:

“A Member of the United Nations which has persistently violated the Principles contained in the present Charter may be expelled from the Organization by the General Assembly upon the recommendation of the Security Council.”Israel certainly qualifies, but the United States Government, which is controlled by the anti-Shia and anti-Iran alliance between Israel’s Government providing the anti-Iran lobbyists and propagandists, and the Saudi Government providing the anti-Iran bribe-money, won’t allow that. Consequently, no matter how violative of the U.N. Charter Israel is, it cannot be expelled.

The United States Government likewise is routinely violating the U.N. Charter and cannot be expelled, because this very Government is on the U.N.’s own Security Council as one of the five permanent members: it would veto its own expulsion.

Consequently, a fatal flaw in the current U.N. Charter is that no vote by the U.N. General Assembly can expel a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council. Nor can they expel any member of the General Assembly that’s backed by one or more members of the permanent Security Council.

Until this situation is changed and a stated percentage of the votes from the General Assembly can expel a member from the U.N. General Assembly, there can be no international accountability applied against a member of the U.N. Security Council permanent five nations; and the U.S. Government, being a member of that, will continue to be allowed to do whatever its Saudi and Israeli masters want it to do – thereby protecting both Israel and Saudi Arabia themselves, and giving each of those two masters virtually as much freedom-of-action as the U.S. has; the U.S. Government’s masters buy impunity, indirectly, from their protector.

This is not a world of international law; it is a world of international force – basically a world of conquest and submission (and subversion can be part of that), which mocks democracy internationally (and maybe even domestically), and therefore effectively corrupts and prevents democracy within all nations that the controlling masters in Saudi Arabia and in Israel demand.

The most fatal failure of the U.N. Charter is thus it’s prohibiting any amendment that one of the five permanent Security Council members opposes.

The issue of what the conditions would be for amending the U.N. Charter was debated while the U.N. Charter was being drawn up in 1945, but nothing effective was agreed to, and so the U.N’s PR on the matter states only that “the question of future amendments to the Charter received much attention and finally resulted in an agreed solution.”

They don’t say what that “solution” was, but there have been no controversial amendments made to the Charter, during its 73 years, so whatever it might have been was almost totally ineffective. A web-search for “U.N. Charter” plus “proposed amendment” produces no major “proposed amendment” but does, near the top, show what that (obviously failed) “agreed solution” (which the U.N. tries to hide) was; and it is:

“This concession took the form of Articles 108 and 109 concerning Charter review procedures.

While Article 108 describes the required steps for making specific amendments, Article 109 introduces the option of a review conference outside of the usual General Assembly (GA) meetings with the purpose of a comprehensive “review” of the Charter.

Both these avenues for making changes to the UN Charter include the criteria of two-thirds of the UN member states voting for and ratifying a proposed amendment.

However, in addition, “all the permanent members of the Security Council” must also ratify before the amendment goes into force. This unanimous concurrence of the P5 [the five permanent members] is the biggest challenge to adopting any amendment to the UN Charter.”In other words: The U.N. Charter’s colossal (and thus-far fatal) failure was in its including the 5-member permanent Security Council’s veto-provision to apply even to any proposed amendment to the Charter. Only an amendment which all five permanent members support can pass. Here is such an amendment.

No matter how much of the rest of the world want a particular change to be made, it can’t be done unless all five of the permanent members of the Security Council will accept it. This is the harmful dictatorial power that the five permanents were granted, but it can be eliminated without eliminating the Security Council itself (as will be discussed later here).

Consequently: In order to boot Israel or any other international rogue-nation out of the U.N., an amendment would first be needed, which would apply a degree of accountability to each member of the U.N. permanent Security Council, by stripping the provision that inappropriately applies their veto-power even over the consideration of any proposed amendment.

Obviously: amending the Charter should be a matter for consideration only by the General Assembly – without any veto-power being held by any one nation. Amendment isn’t regular U.N. action: it concerns the Charter itself.

The biggest difference between a religious Scripture and a democratic constitution (such as the U.N. Charter was intended to be for the entire world) is that whereas the former (Scripture) includes no provision for its being amended, the latter (a democratic constitution) does – or else it instead is actually a religious Scripture, something to be taken only on faith, no democracy at all, nothing suitable for the Age of Science, and thus for a future of democracy.

This faith-basis being the actual epistemological status of the U.N. Charter – unless and until its amendment-section becomes itself amended to what it needs to be – that Charter is a religious Scripture, and the U.N. is more a religion than a democracy of any kind, so long as there exists any nation that can veto any proposed change to the founding document.

Though intended to be the emerging democratic constitution for the future world, the existing U.N. Charter is instead just a type of religion, and this is its Scripture. (Though, as noted, uncontroversial amendments may be considered in it; so, the U.N. isn’t fully a religious institution.)

Consequently, to address these problems, I propose that the members of the U.N. Security Council that wish to establish through the U.N. a democracy and transform the U.N. so as to abandon its current status as being a religion, push, at the U.N., relentlessly, for a measure to unlock the U.N. Charter – to enable it finally to be significantly amended and allow a two-thirds vote of the General Assembly to pass into international law as an Amendment to the emerging global Constitution, the no longer religion, but instead henceforth the democracy, of an unlocked Charter of the United Nations – thereby causing the existing Scripture to be henceforth a Constitution.

Unless and until this (the introduction of the General Assembly’s exclusive ability to amend the Charter) is done, there can be no progress, only continued regress to international dictatorship and a World War III, and so in the direction of even more global dictatorship – this time likely ending in global extermination (precisely what the U.N. was intended to avoid).

Any member of the Security Council who would oppose removing that provision – the veto-power’s extending even to any proposed amendment to the Charter – would be clearly an international pariah-Government and enemy of democracy, which all the rest of the world could then boycott and penalize outside the U.N. until that pariah-nation becomes defeated economically and thus effectively becomes coerced by economic means to become a decent member-state in the international community.

This is an existential issue for the future of a livable planet. A basic condition for progress is the elimination, from the Charter, of the clause:

“including all the permanent members of the Security Council.”That phrase must be removed both from Article 108 and from Article 109, Paragraph 2, both of which say:

“108. Amendments to the present Charter shall come into force for all Members of the United Nations when they have been adopted by a vote of two-thirds of the members of the General Assembly and ratified in accordance with their respective [individual national] constitutional processes by two-thirds of the Members of the United Nations, including all the permanent members of the Security Council.”

“109:2. Any alteration of the present Charter recommended by a two-thirds vote of the conference shall take effect when ratified in accordance with their respective constitutional processes by two thirds of the Members of the United Nations including all the permanent members of the Security Council.”The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council are: China, France, Russia, UK, and U.S. U.S. would try to block removal of that phrase “including all the permanent members of the Security Council.”

On 14 May 2018, Russia’s Sputnik News bannered “UK Has no Plans to Move Embassy to Jerusalem, Disagrees With US on Issue – May”, and this indicates that the U.S. well might be the only member that would fight to block democratization of the U.N. – to unlock the Charter for all U.N. members.

The precipitating event for this call for correcting the Charter would be the virtually unanimous repugnance of the entire world other than the U.S., regarding Israel’s string of brazen in-your-face violations of the Charter and of much of international law.

Taking advantage of this intense global outrage – plus of the many outrageous actions by the U.S. Government itself – provides a rare opportunity to make the long-delayed but essential reform of the U.N., as follows:

America is the only member, of the five permanent members of the Security Council, that is so under the boot of Israel and of the Sauds.

America is controlled by its own aristocracy, which are heavily interlocked with those of Israel and especially of Saudi Arabia and its other vassals, such as UAE but more broadly including the Gulf Cooperation Council of Arabic fundamentalist-Sunni royal families – and that includes a large portion of the world’s wealth.

The American portion of that Imperial alliance includes control over many of the world’s largest consumer-brands, and is thus (unlike either of its masters) especially highly vulnerable to international public-image problems, such as any consumer boycotts.

There might be a way to save the world. This might be the way to a progressive future, reversing the worst of what has happened after the death of FDR (who, more than any other person, laid the groundwork for the U.N.).

Though the U.S. Government might succeed in winning the UK’s support to block democratization of the U.N., such boycotts might produce a democratic victory, if not immediately, then still within a reasonably short time, such as happened when apartheid was removed from South Africa.

But this victory would be not only for the Palestinians – it would be for all peoples everywhere – a world moving in the direction of international democracy, no longer like now, in the direction of increased international dictatorship.
